Reservations at Zalmhuis are recommended but not mandatory, except for the terrace where seating is based on availability. Specific table reservations aren't possible unless for Semi Privates. A deposit is required on Friday and Saturday evenings, refundable up to 24 hours before the reservation. Children and dogs are welcome, and all dishes can be served halal. Special arrangements for birthdays, such as helium balloons, are available, but personal table decorations and cakes are only allowed in private rooms with certain restrictions. Is it necessary to make a reservation?
It is not always necessary, but it is wise to make a reservation to ensure you have a spot. Reservations can be easily made via this link.
Can I make a reservation for the terrace when the weather is nice?
We do not accept reservations for our terrace. However, you can indicate a preference when making your reservation, and we will do our best to accommodate it. If there is enough availability, you can sit on the terrace.
Can I make a reservation for a specific table?
Reservations for specific tables are not possible, except for our Semi Privates. You can indicate your preference, and we will do our utmost to take it into account. However, we cannot guarantee it.
Can I just come for a drink?
Certainly! You are welcome for a delicious cocktail or another drink at our bar or in the lounge. Are you coming with a larger group? Please contact us in advance at groepen@zalmhuis.nl.
What does the deposit for reservations entail?
On Friday and Saturday evenings, we require a deposit for reservations. This amount will be deducted from your bill at the end of your visit.
Your reservation is not confirmed until you have paid it via the payment link in the email you received. The deposit will be deducted from your bill. If you register for the waiting list, no deposit is required.
Refunds are possible up to 24 hours before your reservation. In case of cancellation, your deposit will be automatically refunded.
If you come with fewer people than you reserved for, the deposit will be deducted from the bill for the number of people who are present.
Can I bring my child(ren) during a visit?
Of course! Children are also very welcome at Zalmhuis. We have a changing table, high chairs, and a special children's menu.
Are dogs welcome at Zalmhuis?
Yes, dogs are welcome at Zalmhuis, provided they are calm. We find it important that all guests can enjoy their visit, so we ask owners to keep their four-legged friends under control.
Can I eat halal with you?
All our dishes are halal or can be served halal with a small adjustment.
Can you do something special for a birthday or festive occasion?
Absolutely! For €7.50, you can order a bunch of helium balloons with a personal card. You can indicate the text for the card when making your reservation.
Can I bring my own decorations for the table?
It is not allowed to bring your own decorations into our restaurant. This is possible in the private rooms, except for glitter and confetti.
Can I bring my own cake?
It is not allowed to bring your own cake to our restaurant. In the private rooms, this is allowed, and we charge a plate fee of €1.50 per person.
